Fair Mobs - 2013
As the Fair Trade movement becomes increasingly organized in Canada, the time has come to begin speaking with a louder voice!
Making your voice heard
The idea will be to visit any shop, store, outlet, event, etc. and request Fair Trade products, if they don’t have them, leave them a “Consumer Card” and be on your way.
The hope will be that people and places take notice as waves of people request Fair Trace products, leaving them with consumer cards rather than a purchase.
Ordering: To acquire these consumer cards, simply shoot an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org with a request, and don’t hesitate to ask for additional materials like buttons, stickers, pamphlets, etc. while you’re at it!!
Taking it to the next level
In addition to this, the CFTN has been working with the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University to draft a letter of support for the growing movement, as well as a request to scale things up and drive this change forward. There are two letters attached:
- A background letter – Providing context and contact information (primarily for internal purposes)
- A letter drafted to come from YOU! to businesses, administration and anyone else on campus or other whom you’d like to see support this growing movement!
