Fair Trade Business Tour Registration
This years Fair Trade Business tours will head to Bridgehead Coffee Roastery. As a pioneer in the fair trade movement in Canada, Bridgehead began importing and roasting fair trade coffee in 1984, under the wing of Oxfam Canada. Restructing began in 1998 and the business was relaunched in 2000 as an independent, Ottawa based business, which it remains today. Bridgehead has maintained its committment to fair trade organic, and the communities in which its sells its coffee, expanding throughout the Ottawa area.
In June of 2012, Bridgehead opened its own Roastery and now roasts all of its coffee in-house. The Roastery imports green beans from co-ops all over the world and roasts about 6,000 lbs of fair trade, organic coffee every week. The coffee is used in all of the Ottawa coffeehouses as well as sent to a variety of wholesale customers and online customers all across Canada.
Ticket price includes pick up and drop off in front of the Novotel, and the tour.
