A certificate was presented to Mayor Ed Prevost, which had this to say: “As Mayor of Hudson, I am proud of the initiative of local residents and community organizations in this very positive step that promotes awareness of the importance for all of us to take part in creating a fair and sustainable world.
Member of Parliament for Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Jamie Nicholls, who was also in attendance, shared his thoughts: "I am so proud to celebrate our town of Hudson as a fair trade town,” said Nicholls. “The fair trade movement reflects values that I would like to see Canada embrace when negotiating trade deals in places like Honduras and Panama"
